"Monster" to powrót do muzycznych korzeni Kiss, ukłon w stronę czystego rock'n'rollowego brzmienia, które kiedyś sprawiło, że muzycy grupy postanowili chwycić za gitary, przywdziać charakterystyczne kostiumy, nałożyć make – up i podjąć się trwającej już ponad 40 lat misji dostarczania rozrywki milionom fanów na całym świecie. "Nie będzie żadnych orkiestr symfonicznych, chórów chłopięcych, syntezatorów, ani zewnętrznych producentów czy kompozytorów" – zapowiada wokalista Gene Simmons – "Najlepsza rzecz jaką zrobiliśmy to zwrot w swoim własnym kierunku.
