Opis:
"The Walking Dead" to ekranizacja kultowego komiksu Roberta Kirkmana pod tym samym tytułem. Jest to trzymająca w napięciu dramatyczna opowieść o zmaganiu się z naturą ludzką oraz bezustannej walce o przetrwanie. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) był policjantem, który został postrzelony w czasie służby i zapadł w kilkumiesięczną śpiączkę. Po przebudzeniu, odkrywa, że świat wokół niego został opanowany przez zombie, a on wydaje się być jedyną żywą osobą. Po powrocie do domu nie odnajduje żony ani syna. Aby odszukać rodzinę kieruje się do Atlanty, ale tam grasują tylko hordy zombie. Od śmierci ratuje go inny ocalały, Glenn (Steven Yeun), który zabiera mężczyznę do obozu poza miastem. Rick odnajduje tam swoją żonę Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) i syna Carla (Chandler Riggs). Wraz ze swoim policyjnym partnerem i najlepszym przyjacielem Shanem (Jon Bernthal) oraz małą grupą ocalałych, musi stawić czoła atakującym stadom zombie. Z czasem okazuje się, że o przetrwanie muszą walczyć nie tylko z zombie, ale również z innymi grupami ocalałych, którzy są gotowi zrobić wszystko, aby przeżyć.

Plot Summary:
Rick Grimes is a former police officer who has been in a coma for several months after being shot whilst on duty. When he wakes, he discovers that the world has been taken over by Zombies, and that he seems to be the only person still alive. Having returned home to discover his wife and son missing, he heads for Atlanta to search for his family. Narrowly escaping death at the hands of the Zombies on arrival in Atlanta, he is aided by another survivor Glenn who takes Rick to a camp outside the town. There Rick finds his wife Lori and son Carl. Along with his partner and best friend Shane, he founds a small group of survivors who struggle to fend off the zombie hordes, as well as competing with other survivor groups who are prepared to do whatever it takes to survive.
