Serial opowiada o codziennym życiu szeryfa Jacka Cartera dbającego o to by w miasteczku Eureka wszystko działo się tak jak powinno - normalnie. Z tym, że w tym miasteczku "normalność" ma zupełnie inne znaczenie niż gdzie indziej - z uwagi na to, że jest to miasteczko, którego nie znajdziecie na żadnej innej mapie niż tej w Pentagonie. Mieszkają tam najwięksi naukowcy wymyślający coraz to nowsze urządzenia na rzecz nowego, lepszego świata. Eureka to tak naprawdę jeden wielki ośrodek rządowy do badań nad nowymi technologiami.

Plot Summary:
The sleepy Pacific Northwest town of Eureka is hiding a mysterious secret. The government has been relocating the world’s geniuses and their families to this rustic town for years where innovation and chaos have lived hand in hand. U.S. Marshall Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) stumbles upon this odd town after wrecking his car and becoming stranded there. When the denizens of the town unleash an unknown scientific creation, Carter jumps in to try to restore order and consequently learns of one of the country’s best kept secrets.
