Description:
This band from the Polish seaside have already put a demo tape and 7" out on Malarie, but this album is a long way from where their old stuff started out. They have managed to capture the live energy of their shows and put it to tape - this album is a monumental, intense wall of sound with screaming vocals, but still leaving space for some trance/vibe bits, some calm trumpet parts, and some "hit" riffs. They are usually compared to Neurosis and Ambush, but they do their own thing in this area of noise core. The CD has 2 extra songs that don't fit on LP - and they're not some silly loops...My review: This band played at The Old Railway in Birmingham many years back, I put the gig on not knowing who they were or what sort of music they played. Krzycz came from Poland, about 5 people came from Birmingham and the gig was a big empty room. With no one there to see the band I tried to engage the band in conversation but none of them spoke English. In a fit of desperation when all else failed I thought Dick Lucas might be able to help.....when I put subhumans on the cd player they all started smiling and dancing and sang along, even though they probably had no idea what the words they were singing actually were..When it came time for the band to play a few curious locals had turned up to at least double the small crowd of onlookers and when they started the first song I thought the ceiling was going to collapse. The band was one of the most intense live acts to ever play at the Railway in all my years of promoting there. The band blew the place to pieces, a really intense night with dual vocals, walls of guitar and screaming over everything, that just didn't stop. If you like bands like Neurosis, Lvmen or anything from grindcore to metal to punk you will like this lot, they're amazing. One of my favourite bands too.
